Deepmind have programmed both AlphaRacer and BattleRacer to choose a quote at random after each race in reflection of the day.

Deepmind AlphaRacer wrote:The Marxians love of democratic institutions was a stratagem only, a pious fraud for the deception of the masses. Within a socialist community there is no room left for freedom.

Deepmind BattleRacerr wrote:What's the point of doing something good if nobody's watching?

Well, round 1 is over, we all made it back from 1960's Tasmania safely (somehow). But now, Round 2 is on the horizon, so let's see what Round 2 has in store for us...

I was excited when it says it's gonna be an oval track.

But then,

100% rain. Lord have mercy.

I have seen a wet oval race in real life before. The drivers survived, as did the pick-up trucks.

Wow.

Didn't see that coming in a wet quali, thought he was gonna be shite. At least Karen isn't last again.

BREAKING NEWS

Apparently Frankie Muniz doesn't like being mocked for his racing career. As a result, he has completely revoked the use of Formula BMW cars from the Random Racing League for the forseeable future until he can either drive better or actually GET an acting gig to distract him from suing the RRL.

-----

The Muniz thing is a joke, yeah. What actually happened is that, for some reason, I can't set up any AI Drivers with the Formula BMW cars. As a result, there'll be no Formula BMW race at Macau.

What now?

Well, I basically re-spun the wheel to see which series could replace it's spot at Macau, with the 0% Damage still holding up. I just swapped out Formula BMW for a similar calibre of open-wheel racers, and the wheel was re-spun...

Image

Mmhmm. USF2000 was the exact car that took over FBMW's spot, and straightaway it's been chosen. Looks like it's gonna be a similar race...

...though from my test race, USF2000 is WAY more chaotic than FBMW. Oh be joyful.

The question isn't "Can Eileen McPherson hang on to her qualifying position", it's "Will anyone suffer the ignominy of being overtaken by her as she inevitably tumbles down the order?"

Still, I'm glad that in this randomised series, the one constant is that my drivers are always dreadful.

My intentions of only using quotes from Murray Walker's commentary on F1 97 in this thread have been shattered by that race. How on god's earth do you explain any of it?

Special mention for my boy Numberone, in a race full of spazzes, it takes something special to stand out. He stood out.

So, thanks to that first lap crash, my driver is now last in the series. I guess it finally answers the question "What is Jeletraz doing? - failing's what he's doing.

And yes, I've been trying to shoehorn that in for ages (and it really should be "What is Jeletraz Joing?" but that isn't a word)

You sure Murray had no quotes ready in case a driver carried another for a solid 500 metres? Or the leader rolling and winning? Or cars making love with their nosecones?

tfw you have to sift through 100+ screenshots of derpy AI's in Macau and sort them in a chronological order based off their thumbnails...

Rookies. They barely lasted a turn. Your driver managed to ferry another car up a hillside. O Groats still owes NumberOne taxi fare, though. It's an offence in Singapore to do con a cab, and it's likely the case in Macau too.

-------------------------

Aaaaanyway, it's been quite a while since the last race, mostly because I've been distracted practicing for my driving license, celebrating my birthday and playing Doki Doki Literature Club (seriously, PLAY IT).

But now, I've scraped out some to serve to you on a nice, hot dish...
