Yes they were classified in Japanese GP 87 ...so we can scrub the De Cesaris guess ( which may have been influenced by picking up on my affection for him )

( already known - competed in 1987 Japanese GP (and competed in F1 in 1980s and has raced a F1 turbo engined car ( and in a Japanese GP , and is European driver, points scorer)

There were 15 classified in the 1987 Japanese GP and I think we've had 7 questions ( we'll scrub the De Cesaris guess as you'd have known he wasnt classified...1987 being a year of monumental unreliability for Andrea with only 2 classifications at the finish and in each case the car wasnt moving under its own power at the end)

So I think you'll get it...........

No - not Thierry .. and we wont count the withdrawn suggestion of the great Yannick. So there are 11 guesses left - and a bunch of classified drivers in the 1987 Japanese GP

dr-baker wrote:As an aside, a rules-based question for Simtek: in the first post, you said drivers had to be F1/F2/Indy 500 drivers. You didn't specify F2 only in '52/'53 or Indy 500 only from 1950 to 1960. Did you intend for only the F2/Indy 500 periods in the 1950s when they counted towards the F1 title, or could it be interpreted as being more widely defined?

The exact wording was World Championship F1 race, F2 race or Indy 500, which was intended to cover only those races which counted towards the World Drivers' Championship.

Although I do plan on keeping this thread alive and ditching most of the rules (including the driver criteria) when Melbourne comes around.

My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

What did she do in her past life to deserve this?
