GT Super Series 2020 - Karjala GP Report -> RejectSport

Even if the 2019 GTSS campaign finished weeks after the real one would have, the show must go on. The 2020 Rolex GT Super Series is here.
Background Info
The GT Super Series (named the GT-R World Championship in 2016/17) is a World Championship run by the WMS Group with Terrance Carter as its commissioner. In the championship, the cars that are raced are akin to the real life LMGT1 cars of the mid-2000s with Original Equipment Manufactures either running factory operations themselves or contracting out factory rights to qualified teams, or supplying cars out to customers to run independently without direct support. The manufactures use the series as a marketing platform for their halo products, a financially driven customer program or as a testbed for future concepts and ideas in a series where their interests are at the forefront. Each individual car will be driven by two drivers during the two hour race, with the starting driver also being designated to do qualifying. Factory cars will also be highlighted by having some of the best race drivers on the planet with Independent entries having restrictions and rules based on who drives them in the races. Races are run in GTR 2 – FIA GT Racing Game and utilizes its capabilities for weather and its modernized physics set. The physical cars used in the carset are from that era of LMGT1 racing and are intended not to be taken at face value. (In case that wasn't already apparent)
Basic Rules
Every user is entitled to run two cars full time and a third part time; with a maximum of two cars per team. Meaning they can run two fully independent of each other one-car programs full time.
Part-Time cars are entitled to enter four races each season, spanning a maximum of two continents (Europe, North America, South America, or Asia) as well as any special events the series may have.
Users who enter the series full-time will do so via the Car Allotment System at the beginning of the year. It is a six step process created to ensure no stone gets left un-turned and no one gets screwed out of a entry as much as they thought they did.
Based on their status in the series the previous season, users will enter at different points of the system.
Each car has a different amount of examples available, with some having special conditions for added entries. (like part-time only entries)
When they enter, teams get to choose their tire brand of choice they will use for the duration of the year. Tires have different performance capabilities and availability depending on car, with some tire makers having factory entires which gives those cars a small performance boost.
The drivers that teams will enter come with a ranking based on previous racing experience and their age. They are Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, lowest rank to highest. Platinum drivers can only be used in Factory Entries and weight ballast penalties are placed on independent cars that use Gold Rank drivers. Part-time entries can only have one Gold ranked driver in their roster and no Platinum ranked drivers outright.
Independent entries will have to run in a Pre-Qualifying session if the full entry list for a weekend is more than 30, with the slowest cars in the session (how ever many more total entries than there are race slots) not advancing to the rest of the weekend.
Each race weekend has one 30 Minute Pre-Qualifying Session, two 60 Minute Practice Sessions, one 20 Minute Qualifying Session and the 120 Minute long Race unless it is a special event.
Points are awarded for overall finishing position and position in class. For the outright Driver's and Team's Championships points are awarded with 15 going to first overall, then 12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for the rest of the Top 10. In the Independents and Manufactures Championships 10 points are awarded for first in class, then 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 for the rest of the Top 10 with an additional points on offer for Independent entries if they finish in the top 5 overall, with 5 for first then 4-3-2-1 for the rest of the Top 5.
More detailed rules will be seen in upcoming posts as they become relevant in the pre-season process.
And oh yeh, this is my show. At the end of the day, anything and everything goes through me. Otherwise have fun trying to make this DM do what you want him to do.
Tl;Dr – You enter cars and drivers when you are allowed to, and I am The Game and you don't want to play me. (But enter this series tho seriously)
