light drizzle but rest of the weekend is expected to be dry.
The ORANJE BOVEN of Fittiapaldi prevail to the surprise of no one. Daly out.
Nelson Piquet takes his 6th pole position this season with a massive lap. Gilles Villeneuve only one who got even close. McLaren and Alfa Romeo clearly benefiting from their upgrades.
Zandvoort Notes- Piquet dominates the weekend and takes the points lead from Jones who finished two laps down
- McLaren's upgrades work perfectly as both their drivers finish on the podium
- Patrese finally scores a point thanks to Alfa's huge upgrade package
1981 ROUND 14 - MONZAWeather is
dry.
Salazar with his first Pre-Q exit this season. Overall very tight session.
Championship hopefuls Piquet and Jones duel it out but the Brabham driver narrowly comes on top. Top-12 drivers qualifying within one second so race will most likely be action-packed.
Monza Notes- Polesitter Nelson Piquet has a loose wheel which forces him to make an extra pit stop, dropping him out of the points
- Alan Jones wins and retakes the championship lead again by a single point
- McLaren continue their strong late season form with another double points finish
1981 ROUND 15 - ÎLE NOTRE-DAMEPre-qualifying sees
moderate rain soak the track. Qualifying and race will have
dry weather.
Derek Daly was once again the slowest and failed to qualify.
Alan Jones takes an important pole position while rival Piquet is only 6th.

1981 ROUND 16 - CAESARS PALACEWeather is
dry.
Daly out, nothing new.
Prost takes the pole. De Cesaris has technical issues and fails to qualify after being over three seconds slower than his teammate.
Caesars Palace Notes- Jones and Pironi crash out together on lap 1
- Piquet wins but it's not enough - he loses the title by a single point to Jones
- Lotus score a double points finish which helps them climb up to 8th in the constructor's over Arrows
- Williams wins the contructors' championship with a four point cushion over Brabham
