Autosport mega Christmas quiz

Post by dr-baker »

As is tradition, Autosport likes to post a mega quiz to pass the time on Christmas Day, and as seems to be traditional, I like to post links to online motorsport quizzes. I did not put any effort into answering the qustions (i.e. no use of Google, Wikipedia, or any other online help) and guessed all the answers I didn't know.

Link: http://www.autosport.com/christmas/quiz2009/

My results:

You scored 56/101 (55.45%).

F1 only: 21/30 (70.00%).

Non-F1: 35/71 (49.30%).

The Annual Rejects Autosport Mega Christmas Quiz Championship (ARAMCQC)!

(Overall points decide initially. Where there is a tie, F1 only scores count. Where that is tied too, it's whoever posted sooner. And if only a percentage is posted, that is listed separately underneath. And this will also be posted in the first post of the thread for ease of reference.)

I had 70% (F1)/ 30%(rest)

But there are only three drivers joining F1 from GP2 2009 season, who would be the 4th guy?

But then Alvaro Parente raced in GP2 this year too, so that would make 5 of them.

But Parente doesn't have a race drive...otherwise you'd have to include Luis Razia in that list and make it 5.

I doubt it. I adopted the Economics A-level tactic of answering every Q with the middle choice & scored 50%.

54/100 for me, with a score of 22/30 in the F1 section. I had no idea of most of the non F1 answers as they were mainly to do with junior single seater categories that get next to no coverage here in Australia.
This is a cool spot.

OK, so it was a terrible programme, but I enjoyed it as a 10 year old, and recently rewatched a few episodes on YouTube just to remind myself how terribly appropiate those programmes are for 10 year olds...

There's no accounting for taste... And I have no taste. Clearly.

66.69% in F1, the rest is a very plain and lifeless dessert to me.

It sure is awful that your dessert is lifeless.

Sorry about that, I had to.

You scored 57/101 (56.44%).

F1 only: 25/30 (83.33%).

Non-F1: 32/71 (45.07%).

I think most of the non F1 was on blind luck, save for the MotoGP.

I should really watch more NASCAR next year!

I wouldn't recommend watching more NASCAR. Trust me, I'm American.

You also have glasses, which make you even more knowledgeable.
