So there was quite a meaningful result at the front of the grid here at Paul Ricard. Aerond, predicting a dull affair on the dullest track of the year, used double points as a method of boosting away from his opposition. It yielded average results for a double points finish, although he won the round overall. What it does leave is wiggle room for other participants to eat away at his lead when they themselves run double points. It again furthers Aerond's lead, which he has kept all the way since Round 2 of this season. Now we're at the point where we see if he can hold onto it.
