F1 - Fans and Media's Driving Ratings - Championship

Post by Zenarcher »

What is this?

The media and F1 fans after each race, rate each driver and those who do the best are rewarded points. It should be highlighted that this championship shouldn't be taken seriously; rather, it's more of a way to gauge how the drivers are perceived by the media and fans after each race weekend.

How does it work?

The same points system just like in F1 are used, with 25 awarded for a win, 18 & 15 for second and second, etc and only for the top 10.

Power Rankings - Each driver is evaluated by five judges, who assign them a score. The top 10 drivers at every race receive points for it. Both drivers will receive the same number of points if they draw.

GP Rejects - Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Due to the fact that this is GP Rejects, double points will be awarded, which means that the winner of the poll will receive 50 points. However, if there are multiple drivers, the second-place finisher receives 36 points, followed by 30 points for third, etc.

Driver of the day - Will be rewarded 25 points.

Hot or Not Approximately a thousand people evaluate drivers with a overall score. The top 10 here are rewarded points.

So, to summarise, the top 10 are given points in Power Rankings and Hot or Not. Double points go to GP Rejects, and 25 points go to the driver of the day.

Now what?

There will be an overall total determined by adding together all the points that have been earned. We'll be starting in 2018 and moving up to 2022.
