Galactic Podracing Series - 3243(LY) Season

Hello and welcome, everyone, to a new season of Galactic Podracing!
You ought to know by now that podracing fastest, meanest form of racing in the universe! Speed, thrills, action, exotic locales, a not at all minor risk of death or serious injury, maybe some money laundering and sentient trafficking on the side, podracing has it all.
The Galactic Podracing Association, or GPA, is a very legitimate enterprise, which has not at all been banned by the Galactic Republic for alleged links or charges rated to drug trafficking, sentient trafficking, weapons trafficking, racketeering, race fixing mafias, money laundering schemes, or the propping up of dictatorial regimes outside of Republican Space, where we operate exclusively. These allegations are entirely unfounded and we most vehemently reject them.

All this you already knew of course. Brass tacks are as follows and remain mostly unchanged from last season as follows:

HOW TO PLAY:

1. If you do not yet control a Pilot, pick one that you are to control from the list on the spreadsheet below.
2. If said Pilot does not yet own a Podracer, be sure to purchase one from the market, unless you intend him to run the races on foot (and no this is not allowed)
3. Enter as many races as you wish, so long as they are within your means/purchasing power
4. Races will be run, and presumably you will profit
5. Repeat for next season

RULES:
The most important rule is to have fun. If the series admin is unable to provide for fun, he is to be notified about this severe shortcoming. Game may be abandoned afterwards at player's discretion.
To enter, simply state your interest via forum post, PM or Discord (Rejectsport discussion or DM) and state which Pilot you wish to enter.
There are a few things to consider besides as far as how things work and what goes where, so I shall explain in further detail next.

PILOTS:
Players may only control one Pilot at a time, though they may pick a new one given a sufficiently good reason (i.e, Pilot death).
Rookie pilots are marked on the spreadsheet. They may enter any race they wish as a one-off, but may not enter the Galactic Championship. Should they survive the season, they shall gain that privilege for the following year.
Pilots may already pre-own a podracer, or may purchase one if they don't have one. Pilots with a manufacturer name marked in Bold may only use a Podracer from that manufacturer. Pilots with a model name marked in Bold may only use that particular Podracer until further notice/change of circumstance.
Pilots may only own one Podracer at a time.
Pilots have a series of attributes and traits which are explained in greater detail in the Pilot sheet to be shared individually at a later date.

CALENDAR:
The season consists of three championships and a series of invitational races. These are further split into 4 cycles, which are essentially the number of races that are to be run in a session. Keep in mind that entries are fixed from the moment the season starts - no take backs. It is possible to Upgrade or Repair your podracer during a cycle break as stipulated in the calendar. Budgets shall also be updated for every Pilot at that time.

FEES and PRIZES:
Each race has an indivudual entry fee (including travelling costs, etc) and an associated championship. Each championship also has an entry fee, which gives the entrant the right to attend all races in the championship, and score points in it.
A pilot may only enter one championship at a time.
Pilots that have entered any given championship may not score points in any championship other than the one they have entered, but will remain elegible for prize money awards.
With the exception of the galactic championship, championship results will be tallied only from elegible championship entrants.
NEW FOR THIS SEASON:
In order to foster participation in the Galactic Championship, entrants to said championship will be able to enter lesser races at a 50% discount and remain eligible for prize money.

Invitational races are not part of any single championship, and are open to pilots that have been invited to take part (hence the name). They are the most challenging and deadly of races, as well as the most prestigious.
All fees and prizes are detailed in the spreadsheet below.

MARKET:
Name is self explanatory, all podracers available for purchase are listed here. In time, they may be delisted, and sold for scrap.
A pilot may sell their podracer to the GPA, at 60% current value. It is then added to the list for sale.
A Pilot may also sell a podracer to a different pilot, for a price of their choosing. For this opperation, the GPA will collect a 10% paperwork fee for this operation. The details regarding from which party this value is to be levied is left to both parties. The only one podracer owned at a time rule must be followed at all times during this exchange.
The currency is Truguts.

UPGRADES and REPAIRS:
Repairs and Upgrades may be performed during the designated time as specified in the calendar. The rules regarding pricing and validity of the same are stated in the Pilot spreadsheet.

CONDITION:
All podracers have an associated condition, which decreases with its use. It is calculated at the end of a cycle, unless an accident occurring during a race precludes a pilot of taking part any longer, in which it will be calculated at that time. Repairing a pod improves its condition. It is not possible to perform partial repairs: podracers must be repaired entirely or not at all. Condition, it goes without saying, also has an effect on performance and market value.

BUDGET:
All Pilots have a yearly balance sheet, which is to be updated at the end of each cycle. Money is the lifeblood of the podracer's life, so to keep close look on your financials is quite important.
Should a pilot ever find itself, on the red, it must quit the sigma grindset, for clearly it was not meant to be. Should the pilot choose to grind harder, however, maybe contact your friendly series admin. It's possible a, *ahem* solution may be found for the pilot's predicament.

I can't think of anything else that needs saying at this time. Please have a gander at the document herein. Any question, do not hesitate to ask.
