Ocon, 4th place was terrific from him

HM to the track for exceeding my expectations.
It's just unbelievable...that Formula 1 could be such a ridiculous melange of idiots.

Ocon - Impressive 4th place. Makes the order to hold position seem very silly.

The race was one of the best this season which given that the teams are all exhausted and the track/venue was criticised so much in advance makes it a good candidate. Slick surfaces and sane DRS zones made overtaking a skill again.

Ocon and Stroll provided unexpected results, I'll give it to Stroll as I am usually so hard on him.

Ocon and Stroll having been much maligned through the year (Ocon mainly for being a bad teammate which I sort of get here too).

1 - Max Verstappen - For no kers all weekend long and still winning the race. Gotta give credit for that

2 - Ocon. Great driving and that Alpine radio call was just "lol"

1) Esteban Ocon: Held onto a strong points-scoring finish by merit.

2) The track: While I feel that the race owed a fair bit of its excitement to chaos like Baku, it at least had some opportunities to overtake and created some excitement that way.

The Race - A lot of people weren't too keen about it and Thursday was a horrible look but the race and qualifying turned out so well.

Stroll - Made the most of the first SC after jumping up 10 places on the soft tires and then used the second SC to pit again to get a well-deserved 5th place.

Another one down for both Ocon and Stroll. Yes the turn 1 chaos helped but Lance played a blinder by ditching the Softs early and Esteban gets bonus points for channeling his inner Sainz from Silverstone last year especially given how far Gasly plummeted down the order

Can only be the race itself. After the omnishambles preceding the race, I certainly wouldn't have predicted the race itself to be a cracker.

As an aside, it might be my disillusionment and apathy towards the sport returning, but I'm finding it incredibly difficult to find any of the drivers genuinely "infinitely improbable" these days.
