Re: 2012 UAE Grand Prix Discussion Thread
I'm not the first to suggest it but I hope this outbreak of podium-swearing is a conspiracy by the drivers to get the cringe-inducing podium interviews kicked into the dustbin.

Re: The 2012 Korean GP Discussion Thread
And all I can say to that is bullshite So, do you believe that if the cameras were not there the F1 teams would continue hugging everyone in sight, slapping each other on the back, giving each other 'bro' handshakes? If you do I have a bridge to sell you. I've been watching F1 for nearly 22 years a...

[rant] I really must protest at this hideous culture of hugging everyone that seems to have infected F1 (and sports in general). So your man got pole position....it's no reason for the whole team of mechanics to start hugging each other, for christ's sake. This is what comes of sticking cameras in p...

By the sound of the exasperated radio calls to Vettel it sounds like he needs a quiet talking too.
Looks like it's three titles on the trot for Vettel/Red Bull, can't see Ferrari magicking any more speed out of that car.

It's time to retire standing starts.
They are an idiotic and embarrassing tradition - they are dangerous, wholly unnecessary and it's a lottery as to which cars manage to survive.
Get rid.

I'm not too sorry to see him go - I've already done the nostalgia bit the first time he retired. But although his time at Mercedes cannot really under any quantative measure be described as a success, I don't think he has disgraced himself, nor do I think he has damaged his legacy. For me the over-r...

Re: 2013 Silly Season Thread
I don't think it's all about money, I think a lot of it comes down to a break-down of relations between Hamilton and McLaren. And it's been like that for at least two years. Last year it was Hamilton screwing up his own chances at the title, and now this year it's the team itself with crappy pitwork...
