Stirling Moss prefers IndyCar
"Right now I would rather see a good IndyCar race than I would a Formula One race, because it is far more entertaining to watch. Formula One as a spectator sport is pretty near zero at the moment." Quote from a new interview over on EPSN F1 with the wise one discussing the last race. Can't...

Re: Disappointing Drivers
Martin Brundle (except 2nd half of '92) What if he hadn't smashed up his feet in '84? What if he'd been given a decent car? What if Flav kept him on for '93? Undoubtably a great racer if not a great qualifier (except in sports cars) one wonders how much '84's Dallas accident hampered the rest of his...

Re: Run-off areas: yes or no?
Gung-ho drivers of the past a la Arnoux and Villeneuve usually kept it between the white lines.
Maybe if they sort out the aerodynamics to make overtaking easier we'll see an end to desperate lunges onto the no-consequence run-off areas.

Re: Run-off areas: yes or no?
Certain contentious moves in recent history would never have happened without asphalt run offs. Gung-ho drivers like Hamilton don't always play fair and abuse their presence knowing they can safely continue if the other driver doesn't give way. The real skill is overtaking whilst staying on the trac...

Re: Most Forgettable Drivers
The test here is can you name all six drivers that particapted in the 2005 US grand prix?
I had to look it up cuz I could only remember 4. I'm not going to prompt you my naming the two I forgot that would negate the point of the test.

Re: Kubica and Heidfeld- where now?
Given Kubica's showing this season we should be damning him in the same breath as Piquet and Bourdais, he's seems to have lost all interest. A worthy contender would show the odd spark and bit more motivation in inferior machinery. Alonso at Minardi being the classic example to trot out, even Heidfe...

Re: Replacing Massa
Valencia is a street circuit something Bourdais is supposed to be good at. Plus of all the names mentioned so far he is only one to to have actually raced there before. That may count in his favour, his performances this year may not. Lauda has been quoted as rubbishing Gene, Badoer and Bourdais as ...

Re: Bourdais' Seat in Danger
We are getting a little ahead of ourselves here. Despite the Autosport headline there has yet to be any confirmation that SeaBass is out of Toro Rosso, Personally I'd like to see him given another shot in the improved car at Hungary, if only to to shut up this loud mouthed F3 guy who keeps shooting ...

Re: Alex Yoong stars on speedtv.com
It has to be said though that Alex Yoong put in a fairly respectable performance whilst with Dale Coyne. OK he only finished one race out of four and managed to spin in the pits, but he was running well in the races and outshone most of Coyne's other drivers of that period (I know that's not saying ...

I like your thinking Capt. Hammer and we know that Max is more than capable of that kind of sly thinking too.

Why no place for Prodrive?
Well perhaps because last time they were granted a place they dropped out without turning a wheel. That must have mightily pissed off the teams they beat to gain entry.
I think Max and co. would probably have held that against them.

Re: Campaign to add Bernie Eccelstone as reject driver
I'm not sure if Bernie actually got in the car at all for the British Grand Prix, he may just have been listed as an entrant. As someone previous stated there's not a lot of info out there on his driving career.

Let us not forget the nearly greats such as...
Mario Haberfeld
Bruno Junqueira
Kelvin Burt
Oliver Gavin
I may be tad cruel hear, cuz who know what may have happened had these guys been given a chance, though given Jan Magnussen's example lets not get too hopeful.

Re: Your Favourite Reject RACE????
I'd have to vote for Valencia '08. The circuit caused so much field spread that without any safety car intervention the whole thing was a huge yawn. The same thing goes for Shanghai 08. I used to be against the whole CART/IRL thing with so many yellow flags but at least it kept things interesting. B...

Campaign to add Bernie Eccelstone as reject driver
1958
Monaco DNQ
Silverstone DNS
Surely this qualifies him as an F! reject???
Once he is in there then the campaign moves on to Tiff Needell, loved in the UK as drift king, former Top Gear presenter and current Fifth Gear foil to Jason Plato.
