Re: The 2013 We Have Lots of Oil Bahrain Grand Prix Thread

Well that looked like a much better race than China. The difference: harder tyres. Having tyres the drivers can actually lean on has made a lot of difference, and there was a lot of action on the track. I certainly enjoyed Perez's racy mood (I expect some might not have...). It was his first decent ...

People need to stop beating up on Gutierrez , the lad is doing his best. Support his efforts no matter how lame they may appear. Yeah really. Really goof to see Caterham beating Marussia. Last weekend Pic was already close to Bianchi in the race, and now there may be some possibility of actually doing. Whatever of the two teams you support, it's good to see a genuine fight. Meanwhile, the Bottas-Maldonado thing... The weirdest thing was ...

Espargaro does a 2:06.1 to go as fast as Rossi's combined practice He is just 0.009 behind Rossi in qualifying, Espagaro is on the 3rd row (9th) on a CRT bike. It is hard to make an equivalent to F1 but I would liken that to making it to Q2 in a GP2 car! Insane pace. The next CRT bike is 1.5 second...

Pic beat the Marussias outright and GvDG just a tenth away from Bianchi. Caterham back on the rise? As it's been noted earlier, Bahrain is one of Caterham's strongest tracks. That being said though, they sure did look much better in the last 20 minutes than they have for all of this year so far. Pi...

I've been puzzling with regards to the tyre situation for this year.
