* Success ballast will be increased and now adjusted to drivers rather than teams. The top five cars of each race get weight added (the weights in-game amount to a grip loss of 40-8 grip points in reversed finishing order; the maximum grip loss that way is 180 points) during qualifying to induce more battles for position on race day. Additional weights will be reset after every three races.
* Refueling will not be punished with a disqualification anymore if it is necessary to avoid a car stranding, instead the team will be fined €2,000,000 and both drivers of the team will be given a five-second penalty.

I will take over Red Bull racing team for the fight against F1RWRS.
EDIT: Can we make it that the managers of the 2010 F1RWRS season not be included in this cause managers couldn't manage 2 teams at once. Of course only a suggestion.

There weren't managers back then, that only really started when users started making their own teams in the off-season before 2011.

Re: Alternate F1 - The Current Era (2010 season)
After objections made in the chat, I have decided on two short-notice driver changes:
* Rhys Davies will replace Nico Hülkenberg at Williams
* Thomas de Bock will replace Phoenix McAllister at Renault
Furthermore the race calendar and important rule changes are now online as well. Proceed to bitc-, eeer, express your opinions about them.

You get in the chat around midnight today, because if everything works out the way I want to we will have ourselves the first race of the year then.

Can you give me link? And which time is your midnight, as I live in Eastern Europe?

Eastern Europe? Then I'd say it'd be around 10 or 11 p.m. - where exactly depends obviously on where in Eastern Europe you are. My time zone is CEST, maybe that'll help you. The chat is over here
Re: Alternate F1 - The Current Era (2010 season)
I'm from Bulgaria, which is Eastern European time zone. This means that Central European midnight is here 1 am, which means that I'll be missing that. Good luck everybody, then.
As for us, our hope is top 6 finish.

So that means 6 pm EST or so? I will be accepting of any policies made as I should be eating dinner at that time or so and can't be in. Points are the goal for Stefan GP, no more and no less. Will it happen? Maybe not.

Re: Alternate F1 - The Current Era (2010 season)
So good qualfying for the Red Bull team.
Officially Retired
2010 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix I - Race
2010 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix I - Race
- Note: Car #5 (Lewis Hamilton) was handed a twenty-second penalty for reckless driving and causing an aviodable collsion with Car #3 (Dave Simpson)
I am going to use the tried and tested team review method:
Mercedes GP Petronas F1 Team - both cars looked quite good until the technical gremlins arrived. Daniel Melrose managed to survive his electrical problem and went on an inspired charge to take what turned out to be P3. He can take comfort in that he looked likely to lose his second place anyway later down the road. Mercedes's main priority must be to avoid technical problems in race two.
BMW Sauber F1 Team - after qualifying some smartasses were already beginning to write Kobayashi out of F1. The Japanese driver showed those people his response in the race with a mature and opportunistic drive to finish his debut in fourth place, earning IIDOTR. That place could have been Dave SImpson's as well but a reckless Hamilton put an end to that.
Vodafone McLaren Mercedes - After being only the fourth-strongest team in qualifying McLaren recovered beautifully. Jenson Button looked set for P3 once Melrose was out of the picture, however a gearbox failure crushed his dreams of a successful debut with the new team. Lewis Hamilton inherented third but had painted a bullseye for the stewards on the back before that by tackling Simpson.
Red Bull Racing Renault - If the first race is truly a measuring stick of what is to come, then Red Bull look like the team to beat. Sebastian Vettel converted pole position beautifully to his second career win and Bourdais could have just as well finished second if not for his technical problems.
Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro - The crew from Maranello was very kind to demonstrate today why a bad start can kill your chances in F1's brave new world. Alonso and Kubica dropped like stones on the first lap and while Alonso was the fastest at the end, the damage had been done. Kubica also had to pit because of problems but managed to recover and steal two points.
Stefan Grand Prix Toyota - Whilst a number of people were rather sceptical about the Serbian outfit it fared very well. Of course they could have scored points if their drivers had not punted off each other and the suspension failure for Villeneuve sure didn't help things ... but it was still a fair debut.
Renault F1 Team - Renault's effort in today's race were a shining example of finishing a lot better than your pace allows to. Thomas de Bock and the young Romain Grosjean basically used the vintage turtle strategy to get away with some points, but the French team must be worried right now.
Sahara Force India F1 Team Mercedes - Force India always looked like they had made a significant leap in the off-season and their result today proved just that. Adrian Sutil's driving error was completely avoidable and some cynics may say that Chandhok could have put up much more of a fight against Melrose, but the team can look forward to a good season.
AT&T Williams Honda - Well, while the team can take comfort in the fact that their 2010 season will be a significant leap in the right direction, their drivers will regret this race for weeks to come: Davies lost the car in a good position and Barrichello even managed to throw away what could have very well been a podium. ROTR for the Williams duo.
Texaco USF1 Team Ferrari - The American outfit will continue where they left off in 2009 and will have to work mainly to survive. Luca Badoer at least managed to stay out of major trouble whilst rookie T. Hemo Goblin won't have become too popular with Super Aguri.
Super Aguri F1 Team Honda - Takuma Sato looked reasonably confident after qualifying and justifiably so: the SA10 will be a car that will allow Takuma Sato to show his heroic skills, much like the 2007 edition. Andrea Acuri will have to pick up the pace, though, otherwise he might find himself not scoring points this year.
Lola Cars F1 Mercedes - Lola have a strong line-up but they have to find themselves first before being able to attack the other teams; this fact was made clear, the team was just not competitive although Mark Webber showed a spirited drive and deserved his final position very much.
Hispania Racing F1 Team Renault - The Spanish outfit surely doesn't lack passion but that can only replace skill so much. This fact is emphasised when comparing the effort of highly-regarded rookie Nathan McKane and former Brawn driver Bruno Senna, who outright played in two different leagues today.

This car is reasonable competitive. Now we just need to keep them from running into each other and there would have been a lot of points.

Woo-hoo! A point finish in the first race! Well done, Takuma!
We are more than happy with that result and will be looking for regular point finish. As for Acuri - he must find more speed, or he risks losing his seat...

Re: Alternate F1 - The Current Era (2010 season)
Even with Lewis' penalty (I still have to talk about it with the stewards), we're in the fight. Jenson showed that the car can battle against Red Bull and Ferrari fair and square. I'm waiting for the power circuits.
2010 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix II - Race
2010 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix II - Race
I am going to use the tried and tested team review method:
Mercedes GP Petronas F1 Team - If Bahrain is a proper prediction of what is in store for us, they will have a good yet long year ahead of them. They seem unable to beat Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari but are right in the mix. Kimi Räikkönen had a woeful spin on the first lap after nearly taking out Hamilton at the start but fought back well enough; Melrose did his job to get P4.
BMW Sauber F1 Team - This could have very well been a double points finish if two things had not happened: Kobayashi suffered a very smoking engine failure and Simpson simply blew it. He pushed too hard on the last laps for little to no further gain and spun out, finishing the race dead last after managing to rejoin the track.
Vodafone McLaren Mercedes - Lewis Hamilton was not a happy man after his penalty in race one and decided to respond in the best way: utterly dominating the second race, scoring the first Grand Chelem of the new era. Jenson Button on the other hand just was not up to the task on Sunday, he spun early and his comeback run just started way too late, denying him what should have been a points finish. ROTR for Button.
Red Bull Racing Renault - Red Bull will be happy to take what they were able to take, especially Sebastién Bourdais. The Frenchman never really got up to pace and mainly used mistakes by the guys at the top to make up position. Vettel lost four seconds on the first lap to Hamilton and never got in fighting range again before being swallowed by Alonso.
Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro - Fernando Alonso seems to have adapted rather well to the short-race Formula One, he takes his time and manages to attack later in the race. If he can get better starts, he is bound to win races sooner rather than later. Robert Kubica, the poor sod, had his race ruined by two things: going off the track as his team mate overtook him and then running right into Rhys Davies.
Stefan Grand Prix Toyota - Strange ... once they stop running into each other, Stefan GP manages to score a point. Maybe they should write that tactic down somewhere. A fair race by Jacques Villeneuve was sadly ruined by a water leak, without such he could have taken two or four points. Now it was Nakajima who picked up P10.
Renault F1 Team - As stated the last time around Renault are right now suffering from a lack of pace that is really bothersome. Thomas de Bock was robbed of a chance for some minor points but Romain Grosjean was outright nowhere. They will hope for a turnaround of events in the United States of America.
Sahara Force India F1 Team Mercedes - Force India just have turned into the fifth-strongest team, if only because they made most of their potential in this second race. Adrian Sutil does his job beyond professional and Karun Chandhok earned IIDOTR with the most impressive debut he could possibly ask for.
AT&T Williams Honda - Williams have a very powerful car and seem in a good position. Rubens Barrichello scored the first points of his comeback and for Williams. Rhys Davies could have just as well done so ... and perhaps scored around twice or thrice the points. This however, was not to be, as Kubica and Davies collided. The stewards ruled that event a racing accident.
Texaco USF1 Team Ferrari - USF1 have gained little to nothing on their 2009 performance, they must hope for lucky results if they want to score major points this year. Both drivers are not really helping matters much but they try their hardest. It is all about managing to get something done. A long year awaits the American squad.
Super Aguri F1 Team Honda - After the first race, comparison to their 2007 run were raised. Sadly, reality does only like that idea so much. This race probably showed their true ability, neither Takuma Sato nor Andrea Acuri were anywhere close to the points. It remains to be seen whether there are more heroics of Sato or not.
Lola Cars F1 Mercedes - John Bovy and Mark Webber had presicely reversed races today, Webber was nowhere and Bovy was responsible for the heroics. Still, the team is beginning to work on slowly advancing up the grid.
Hispania Racing F1 Team Renault - Nathan McKane proves himself to be quite a talent. However, his team mate was running very well today, so the hype may very well not be all it seems to be. Only the future can tell.

Well, JB will be happy to leave Bahrain after such a bad weekend. Lew did answer the critics by showing what he can do. This will be an all out battle for the title

Re: Alternate F1 - The Current Era (2010 season)
A point from Nakajima and a DNF from Villeneuve which makes his second. We could have had 2 or 4 from Villeneuve without the failure, but then Nakajima would have never won points.
