Starting with this years Italian grand prix a major brewer (which I won't name but you can probably guess) are going to be title sponsor of some grand prix and will be the official beer of F1

So why not be responsible and try something like this instead then?

I wish it was Bavaria instead of Heineken. Think of how funny the race titles would become!

Even some of the more serious Belgian media responded to that with 'don't worry, we'd never consider drinking Heineken anyway' :D

James Allen has a decent article on this :

http://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2016/06/heineken-enters-f1-and-promises-to-shake-up-digital-video-content/

Although the prospect of a 'shaken up' Heineken sounds like an accident waiting to happen ...

Better this than the Bud-Lite we have been getting track-side in Canada for the past several years.

Heineken is an ok beer.... but I prefer German or Czech Pilsners (nothing better than sipping a nice cold Pilsner Urquell or a Bitburger.... )

I like this line from the Allen story:

Ecclstone joked on his arrival on stage that there had been a rumour he was going to announce his retirement. “We’ll do that at the funeral place,” he quipped.

Yeah, he was joking.
It's just unbelievable...that Formula 1 could be such a ridiculous melange of idiots.

Problem with the German and Czech style beers is that they have a laxative effect on me. Don't really know why other beers don't have that, though.
