So a double DNF and hefty repair bill to start the season, that isn't ideal.

Will repair Barbazza's car in full from the manufacturer

Mugen Honda MF308/2 has returned from the Renzo workshop after its repair. However, when fitted to the car for shakedown, the team find an issue with the motor. Further diagnostics reveal it could be one of the following:

1-33 - Power and Torque bands have been narrowed drastically for reasons unknown. +500 RGR to whatever car motor is fitted to
34-66 - Valve timing is completely off for whatever reason, but proves to be somewhat beneficial and is copied to the other car. +5bhp to both cars in qualifying trim and +1000 rel points to both cars
67-99 - Extra fabrication work has been done to the case, which means engine mounts no longer fit properly. -200 grip to whatever car motor is fitted to as bodywork has to be hastily modified to fit
100 - All of the above

Back from the dead, now that I have a lot more free time on my hands (Shoutout to universities shutting down and going to distance learning), I'll be looking at reviving F3000 over the next few days

Round 2 has already been run a different lifetime ago, and will be posted shortly, along with damages and general storylines from the weekend. For the ease of completing the rest of the season, all teams will now have repairs done automatically after each race with the normal factory repairs. However, individual team owners can opt-out of this at any time, deciding whether they want to use the automated Renzo repair option, or control their repairs entirely

More information will be provided over the next couple of days once I've figured out where exactly the series is up to

For the purposes of storyline, I ultimately control what teams come and go, obviously influenced by players' actions. There's no openings as of right now, but there will be a couple for 1991 depending on how the season goes

1990 Round 4 - Monza

Qualifying

Race

Reject of the Race: Apomatox - Didn't have the pace of the frontrunners and both cars blew up anyway
Drive of the Race: Heinz-Harald Frentzen - Great run rewarded with debut podium

Damage
Aguri Suzuki (Mugen Honda MF308/13) - £23,400
Ukyo Katayama (Mugen Honda MF308/19) - £77,400
Michael Schumacher (Mugen Honda MF308/4) - £5,400
Jorg Scrattenheim (Mugen Honda MF308/19) - £7,200

Budgets have been updated to post-Monza

Since Monza was run before Ataxia's request, the following RNG will be run as follows:

Jean-Marc Gounon
1-10: Can't find the extra money for the repair
11-60: Moves up to the next paydriver amount (£50,000 for the remaining 10 races including Monza)
61-90: Moves up two paydriver amounts (£100,000 for the remaining 10 races including Monza)
91-100: Flips out at the request and walks out
95 - Gounon leaves the team in disgust

Given that the driver ultimately made the decision to walk, Pacific will retain Gounon's sponsorship money. They are now required to name a replacement for the remainder of the season

Paul Belmondo
1-95: Accepts
96-100: Declines
47 - Accepts the ride with Pacific
15 - He brings £40,000 total for 8 races

Due to an existing scheduling conflict with WTCM, Belmondo will not be available for round 8 at Hockenheim

Qualifying

Race

Reject of the Race: RSM Marko's Pit Crew - Of all the loose wheels today, there's was the only one down to crew error as Frentzen left with 3 wheels on his wagon
Drive of the Race: CoBRa - Easily their strongest run all year leads to double points finish

Damage
Kenji Matsumoto (Mugen Honda MF308/8) - £17,100

Budgets have been updated to post-Jerez

As a result of getting their asses kicked for the first portion of the season, Ford have introduced a minor update to the DFY, giving a 5bhp to all customers effective immediately. Other updates are being planned in the future

(HEADS-UP: Imola has already been run but not yet posted by Wazzle)

Following two successive DNQs, PSR would like to move Christian Fittipaldi to British Formula 3 in order to boost his confidence for the next season (we would therefore lose $25k).

We would like to inquire whether the following drivers are willing to take Fittipaldi's seat for the 5 remaining races he is scheduled to take part in 1990, under the condition they will be pay-drivers:

Paul Warwick
Marco Apicella
Mauro Martini
Andrea Chiesa
Jeff Krosnoff

With Christian Fittipaldi's departure from Paul Stewart Racing, he has been refunded the £25,000 owed to him by the team

Paul Warwick

Having lost it with British F3 and leaving midway through the season, the younger brother of F1 driver Derek Warwick finds an unlikely lifeline in Paul Steward. He's been offered 5 races to close out the 1990 Formula 3000 season, provided he can put the funding together

1-60 - Succeeds
61-100 - Fails, but offers to drive for free on a Category 3 race-by-race contract
21 - He manages to scrounge up the funding from Warwick Trailers and other sponsors
86 - He somehow finds enough money to bring £100,000 for the 5 races

As the new owner of DAMS, effective immediately Fabrizio Barbazza is no longer the driver of our second car. Mohammed Siki will taking over his car, with the exception of the round of Birmingham, where we will be trialing the exciting young American prospect Jimbo Davis, who hails from... Texas?

Additionally, we will be selling off our useless crappy T88s - no idea why the old management thought running those was a good idea. We will buy the last remaining T90 and one T89 to replace them. As a reward for somehow dragging a T88 to a point, Jorg Scrattenheim will be designated our team leader and racing the T90 from this point on, with Siki in the T89. Davis will race the T90 at Birmingham, as we seek to evaluate his skill, however, so Scrattenheim will race the T89 there.

Christian Fittipaldi

Having mutually terminated with Paul Stewart, the Brazilian has received an unlikely offer from FIRST to drive the lead car. He's become rather dejected by the whole F3000 experience and would rather rebuild his career in Formula 3 for the time being. The deal is also scant on details, and if he were to sign he'd want to find out more first

1-10 - Signs sight-unseen
11-30 - Wants to find out more details first
31-100 - Declines outright

14 - CFitty wants to find out more details first before making a decision

Having mutually terminated with Paul Stewart, the Brazilian has received an unlikely offer from FIRST to drive the lead car. He's become rather dejected by the whole F3000 experience and would rather rebuild his career in Formula 3 for the time being. The deal is also scant on details, and if he were to sign he'd want to find out more first

1-10 - Signs sight-unseen
11-30 - Wants to find out more details first
31-100 - Declines outright

14 - CFitty wants to find out more details first before making a decision

FIRST racing would like to withdraw our offer for Christian fittipaldi, as we feel that he needs to go to F3 to develop. instead, we would like to bid for canadian indy lights championship leader, Paul tracy, to replace josephine. here is our offer:

Driver: Paul Tracy

basis: contracted
wage: 85,000$
contract length: rest of the season
payment method: per season
BONUS: we offer Paul the right to skip any F3000 rounds clashing with Indy lights. in case such a predicament happens, we will find a substitute driver.

Paul Tracy

Paul Anthony Tracy has been taking the American junior scene by storm, and is currently the runaway championship leader in the American Racing Series. He has little interest in coming over to Europe full-time at this stage of the season, but is intrigued by running a few cameo appearances for FIRST in Formula 3000, for a pro-rated wage

1-10: Goes to FIRST full-time
11-50: Runs a part-time schedule with FIRST
51-100: Focuses on wrapping up the ARS title instead
28 - Tracy will run at Hockenheim and Brands Hatch at the pro-rated amount of £12,100 per race

FIRST will be required to name a replacement driver for the other races scheduled

British F3 driver Abbey Beckett is offering her services for any F3000 teams for the remainder of the season, she brings personal backing from Castrol.
