"will you stop him playing tennis then?", referring to Montoya's famous shoulder injury, to which Whitmarsh replied "well, it's very difficult to play tennis on a motorbike"

Brilliant. You'd never guess it was the start of the holiday season and therefore many other drivers are presumably occupied would you?

For Monza can we have Piercarlo Ghinzani please? And the mighty EvdP for Spa!

Now that is something that I'd want to see - although it would be even better if the BBC got Murray Walker to give his post race analysis with Deletraz as a steward.

It's not been put in his biog on this site, nor in wikipedia, but there is evidence to suggest that Danny Sullivain's F1 career hinged on the premise that he did not go any further because he was dating Lynda Carter...

...for those who dont have a DOB lower than 1986, picture yourself as a Tyrrel driver coming to the end of the 1983 season...

...do you stay in F1 at tyrrel for the following season? or do you go back to America and race in Indycar and have also have a "part" in Wonderwoman.

She's clearly a Soviet spy, just look at all those red stars. Vitaly Petrov is the love child of Danny Sullivan and Lynda Carter. You heard it here first.

If that's the case, then bring in Yuji Ide for suzuka. Or, does having your Superlicense revoked prevent you from stewarding?

Swiftly fined Ferrari and passed the hot potato back to the WMSC. Great defensive game.

Speaking of reject stewards, the ones today at Edmonton should gain an award for their job today!
What in the name of God crossed their mind to apply that penalty to Castro Neves?

Well, it got both of the races on SportsCenter. I approve of that. It's a shame it takes stewarding idiocy to make it happen though. I really wish Americans cared about open-wheel racing.

Well, to be fair, they followed the rules outlined just a few hours earlier in the drivers meeting. Still - what a dumb rule it is...

Anybody else concerned/surprised by the high level of British stewards being chosen for this? Hey, I know we invented the free world ( ) but I think it should be a wider cross section of ex-drivers.

Gerhard Berger for Belgium! Crikey, that'd be an 'anything goes' race.

I agree I think it's a bit odd, especially as if we're honest we haven't had any real decent drivers since Hunt with the exception of Watson, Mansell and Hill. But then what also puzzles me is why at all the races they have an English commentator on the PA...

I suppose choice of steward would be unrelated to achievement or being 'decent' more on their perceived ability to make the right decision. Nelson Piquet Snr was a decent driver but would you trust him to make a fair assesment? English as a choice of PA language makes sense, who doesnt speak English? ;)

North Korea.

In North Korea, MSC is a Korean native that's won every drivers championship since 1993, and has obliterated Rosberg this year.
