What was the Grand Prix that was nearest your Date of Birth?

Mine was the 1974 Austrian Grand Prix

I think mine is the 1976 Japanese GP. Race held on the 24th of October, while I was born on the 28th.

6 days after my birthday. As a side note, the '92 Indy 500 was a day before, although, given I was born very early in the morning, it was probably still the 24th in America.

The one closest to my date of birth was the 2nd GP of the 1991-season. 24March, Interlagos. The GP's that have been raced on my date of birth is: The 2004 GP in Malaysia and the 1982 GP in Brazil. For those who does not want to look them up. I am born the same date in the same month as Ayrton Senna, that should be enough information :)

As per usual, mine was the Italian Grand Prix, Monza, 11th September 1988. My birthday's the 12th, so it's been a dream of mine to get to Monza for a birthday GP.

Not a very jolly one for me - my birthday's in November, so it would be the final race of 1974 in October, the US Grand Prix, in which Helmuth Koennig was killed.

Quite a few British GPs have taken place on the 11th of July, most recently in 2010. It was also the nearest GP in 1991, taking place on the 14th of July.

I actually remember an incident from my 8th birthday. We watched the British GP, the date being 11.07.1999. Häkkinen retired, and I've been told that I burst into tears because of that (ie. "why can't he finish a race on my birthday *sob*".

I was born on the 27th, so it's a tie between this and this year's Indian GP

Mine was the 1983 European GP, the 25th September, just two days before I was born. It seems that Piquet won that one...

Otherwise the most recent was the 2009 Singapore GP on the 27th.

Edit: Did a quick check and there were 5 GPs in my birthday:
1 - 1981 Canadian GP won by Jacques Laffite
2 - 1987 Spanish GP won by Nigel Mansell
3 - 1992 Portuguese GP won by Nigel Mansell
4 - 1998 Luxembourg GP won by Mika Häkkinen
5 - 2009 Singapore GP won by Lewis Hamilton

Monaco (and the F.A. Cup final) is always near my birthday, I was 5 days old when the 1974 race took place, but the race has never actually been on my birthday itself in my lifetime.

I had Belgium (Zolder) in 1978, won by Mario Andretti and basically a Lotus walkover. Out of interest, reject Brett Lunger came in 7th, his best result. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brett_Lunger

and Europe / Germany in 2000, a Ferrari vs McLaren battle won by Schumacher. De La Rosa got a point for Arrows! And Gaston Mazzacane came in 8th ...

Stats from http://www.f1db.com/tiki-index.php

EDIT : 100th post, and actually an on-topic and sensible one for a change ... :D

The 1958 Dutch Grand Prix fell on my birthday http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1958_Dutch_Grand_Prix, though that was 27 years before I was born. Monaco usually falls close to my birthday every year.

1993 Belgian GP, which was 4 days before I was born. The first GP after I was born was the 1993 Italian GP when I was 10 days old. Both won by Damon Hill. My birthday usually falls in the gap between Spa and Monza, the last GP to be held on my birthday was Spa 2001. But my birthday's on a Sunday next year, so...
