Reject teams and drivers quiz

Post by pi314159 »

This is working in the following way: Theone who answers the question correctly has to ask the new one and gets a point. Only rule for questions is, that they must have something to do with a reject team or driver. I start with the first question:

Which unique complaint did Chanoch Nissany make 2005 in Hungary on team radio?

"I can't remove the steering wheel"?

I know he couldn't remove it after one of his spins, so I'll guess that.

No that's not the answer. Normally Formula 1 drivers complain about the opposite of what Nissany complained about.

I'm guessing it's something to do with other drivers being too fast.

BTW, considering that this is about rejects, wouldn't the JDD forum be a better place, especially because it could use a bit of a boost?

It would indeed be Apicella when JJ Letho decided to put the Jordan team out of their misery by taking both of them out at the first chicane. Although that probably wasn't as amusing as the two clowns at Footwork taking each other out at exactly the same time.

Usually I think the user who asked the question should confirm the correct answer, but as it's clear that Apicella is the right answer, I'll just give Nuppiz his point and he may ask the next question:

Andrea Moda!...No,hang on.
My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

What did she do in her past life to deserve this?

1961 German Grand Prix; he had to withdraw because he tried to enter with a car designed by himself, but it wasn't ready in time for the race.

Name the four drivers who actually drove an Andrea Moda car during the team's existence.

Nope, according to my sources Bertaggia never drove the car despite being in the team. The other three were correct, though.

Sassetti himself claims that he still drives the car in the streets in the weekends, but I don't know if he did that while the team was still running.

In any case, I'll go with: Alex Caffi, Roberto Moreno, Perry McCarthy and Andrea Sassetti.

Nope, Sassetti wasn't in my mind. I'll give you a tip: this driver was never entered for a F1 race, and as far as I know it was the only time when he drove a F1 car. However, he was relatively successful in F3000.

Would it by any chance be Coloni's 1991 test driver Antonio Tamburini?

Yes, that is the correct answer. He drove the car (Coloni C4) at the 1991 Formula One Indoor Trophy, by which time the team had already been bought by Andrea Moda and went under that name, sporting a livery much like what we would see in the 1992 season:

I'll defer my question for now...cannot think one yet.

EDIT: Actually, bathplug it, here we are.

Who is indisputably the most important person in Formula 1: He who shelters us from the harshness of the F1 deprivation, and to whom we owe everything we have including our lives?
