Dagnabbit, I was checking the OP and not other peoples' posts, kinda because I naively assumed it would be up-to-date.

EDIT: Actually, no, why am I signing up for yet another series? Especially since this one will probably last all of four races.

Well, now all the teams are taken, Driver contracts & Tyre suppliers can be sorted out

Tyres
In 1990 there is a choice between Goodyear & Pirelli

Goodyear: £3million per season (Provide best grip)
Pirelli: £1million (Provide less grip)

Drivers
Each team must contract 2 race drivers and a test driver.
contracts will then be decided by RNG starting from McLaren's (1st place in 1989) first choice, all the way down the Life's choices
Because I'm using RNG I'd suggest offering each seat to at least 3 drivers in a clear order just in-case you miss out on your first choice

As far as drivers go, you can offer a contract to any driver who was active around 1989-1990 time and you think can handle F1. Also, please try
and keep salaries sensible.

Goodyear costs £5 million!? That's a quarter the budget of the biggest teams!

Put Onyx down for Pirelli's then. As for drivers...

Driver 1: Stefan Johansson, Gabriele Tarquini, Ivan Capelli, Martin Brundle
Driver 2: Eric van de Poele, Gregor Foitek, Paolo Barilla
Test driver: Karl Wendlinger

All driver 1 offers will be £750k. All driver 2 offers will be expected to bring as much sponsorship money as they can - whoever brings the most gets the gig. As for Karl Wendlinger, we'd like as much money from Mercedes as he can squeeze out of them, if possible.

Also, my reaction when I saw a bunch of 1990 midfielder teams offering millions to drivers:

Well... I guess it'll make my job easier...

Mclaren choice

Driver 1
Ayrton Senna (10M)
Alain Prost (10M)
Nigel Mansel (7M)
Nelson Piquet (5M)

Driver 2
Gerhard Berger (4M)
Jean Alesi (3M)
Alessandro Nannini (3M)

Tester (No money)
Mika Hakkinen, Martin Brundle, Mark Blundell, Damon Hill

Goodyear tyres. As for price - yeah, 5 mlns sounds too much for tyres, especially in 1990. Maybe some part of it should be given into chassis development or something?!
