Re: F1 Rejects Driver Ratings

Raikkonen has more raw pace than Schumacher? That's really funny guys. Trulli - Raw Pace 7.5 - He's quick in qualifying, but rarely in the race, which is why I'm not giving him a higher mark. A quick single lap in qualifying doesn't make you top-driver quick if you do fifty slow laps in the race. St...

Re: Schumi Confirmed!

Even if he's 70% of the driver he was 3 years ago (and I reckon he'll be much more than that), he'll still be one of the best on the grid. If the Mercedes is quick, he'll win races, if the Mercedes isn't quick, well, no one detracts from Senna that he couldn't win the Championship in 92 or 93, so it...

Re: Best season of the last decade.

I'd personally go with 2003 because it the one where I had the least sense of where the chamionship was going to end up for the longest. I can see the attraction of 2000, particularly that excellent Belgian GP where Schumacher was trying to cool his tires up Kemmel towards the end of the race whilst...

OK, you got a point, so let me correct my statement. Damon Hill was the guy that actually managed to get lapped driving in dry conditions a Williams-Renault! Yeah, once at the 94 Brazilian GP (he retired in all the other races mentioned between 93 and 96 where he wasn't one of the unlapped cars), i...

Don't forget Force India/Spyker/Midland/Jordan (may I suggest 1992 for the latter incarnation's example?) They were closer to the back of the grid in between 04 and this season, and with more experience among the technical staff. Anyway, I'll keep this post 1990 since I'm a young-un, so that'll rul...

Re: F1 Rejects Driver Ratings

Potentially. I just dont like how (at least in the UK) there are a lot of people who seem to think EVERY win Schumacher gets was the result of him cheating. Yet they highly regard Senna despite how he was guilty of some similar moves (IMO Japan 1990 was more dangerous than Jerez 1997 purely due to ...

I gave 3rd place 7 to have a bigger points difference between 2nd and 3rd. Well, since the total amount of TV rights money would've still been the same, ...
