Re: Hello everyone! New members' check in desk
I guess I should now do this. My name is Laine, and I used to live in the east end of London, hence the username. I now live in Lowestoft in East Anglia, which is quite possibly the worst town in the world! My first F1 memory was the ill-fated 1999 British Grand Prix, and of the multi-coloured cars ...

If no-one else wants the Dear organisers of the F1R WRS, As I am sure you are aware, we at Group Lotus are currently rapidly expanding our motorsports programme, both in single-seaters and GT racing. We have been supporting Takuma Sato in IndyCar where we are soon to be providing both chassis and en...

Interestingly, they appear to be re-introducing ground effect floors 30 years after they were banned. A return to mid-80s F1? I would like that.

I've really enjoyed reading this as a guest, and now I'd like to take part. Could I have the second CR Motorsport seat if possible for next season. The name is Damon Cannon (not my real name). Age 20 from Great Britain. I am from the upper class from a very wealthy family in merry old England, which...

Mr Melrose, do you think that your chance of becoming the Driver Champion in your first season has gone or been dealt a severe blow due to this crash, and what are your thoughts on your teamate, seeing as he has only one podium place to his name this season. Do you get on with him?

Coulthard for Lotus, simply because Hakkinen drove for them and thus it would be ironic when they become teamates at Mclaren (if they do). Deletraz for Simtek, to see how slow he would drive on the long back straight at Montreal and provoke more 'And what is Deletraz doing?' moments from Murray Walk...

Nice to see Zanardi unrejectifying himself.
I say ' The Man Who Crashes at Every Grand Prix', Philippe Alliot should get Wendlinger's seat, to see him undulge in reject antics again such as this.

I do miss willing Minardi on to an unlikely points finish most races. F1 isn't the same without them.

7:16 lap at Imola
Reading the profile of Life Racing Engines, I cannot get my head around the fact that the car's quickest lap at Imola pre-qualifying was 7 minutes and 16 seconds. I know the car and engine were pathetic pieces of rubbish, but how on earth did Bruno Giacomelli clock a lap THAT slow. He must have gone...

Am I right in saying that Pacific couldn't afford a better engine than the time-expired Ilmor units. They could, but Reynard was close to colapse and did the PR01 the cheapest they could do and the monocoque was weak. After the first day of practice at Sao Paulo both cars had ripped of the bottom wi...

I forgot about the 1999 European Grand Prix. I can't watch the last laps of it because I feel so sorry for poor Badoer. It choked me at the time, although I was chuffed for Herbert. I'm trying to decide what the craziest, rejectful race is. By that I mean non-stop action I.E passing, crashing, rejects doing well, weather conditions, numptys at the FIA etc. I believe it is a tie between the 1998 Belgian Grand Prix, and the 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix. What are your views.

Either they managed to keep Diniz and use his money to develop the promising FG03, or the partnership with Shannon had actually worked. I think they may have done a Stewart and become a point scorer

Nah he would have beaten Diniz to the Ligier seat and taken his millions there instead of Diniz's Parmalat money! Plus being Francophone and all that... I wonder what other acts he may have done to cement his pay-driver legend had he either got the Pacific seat for all of 1995 and somehow managed to get a drive for 1996.
