The Blue/Pink livery on the Brabham BT60 was actually good looking.

Re: 2013 Silly Season Thread

Something tells me that Paul di Resta would end up a 3rd driver at McLaren or Lotus if he's not retained by Force India, which could be interesting for 2014.

Re: Ponderbox

My F1 Deprivation this winter I think has been tempered by my uni workload and placement. However, it may catch up as F1 testing approaches. I agree, it's always around testing when the new cars come out that I can't wait for the new season! I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing some new liveries...

Re: 2013 Silly Season Thread

So from reading the last few pages, and a few other stories, this is what we have: Red Bull-No problems Ferrari-No problems McLaren-No problems Lotus-A few rumours circulated that they had financial issues, but they now have Coco-Cola money IIRC. Mercedes-They have the money, but they won't wait for...

Re: Unpopular F1 opinions

It cost less money to field the ridiculous notion by Team Scandia of 7 IndyCar teams in 1996 than it would be to run a F1 team. Now that is a scary view of how expensive Formula 1 chassis development is. Fielding 7 cars at Indy probably doesn't cost that much (in relative terms to F1), considering ...

Bourdais was unlucky in Formula 1. He had Vettel as a teammate, he was so close to a podium in Belgium, he qualified 4th in Italy, only for his car to stall and he had the penalty with Massa.

Re: 2013 Silly Season Thread

For the vacant Marussia seat, if they need money, then Petrov would be an obvious choice, being Russian, but that depends on him having money. If not, then the noly other "pay driver" with experience could be Karthikeyan (or Chandhok). If they want experience, they could end up surprising ...

I'm from England, so you don't need to ask me what opening music I have in my country :)

However, I liked the 2003 ITV F1 intro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBy6YNTqx4k

Also, I found this very surreal intro from Japan for 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwWekNOyPc8

Re: What If?

What if the FIA just didn't care about huge grid sizes and never invented the concept of failing to qualify or pre-qualifying? Firstly, you'd have a crash on Lap 1 of every race. Then, within the first few laps, some of the weaker cars would be failing, so the marshalls would be trying to clear up ...

And of that list, he changed 7 (Österreichring, Hockenheimring, Monza (only Turn 1, luckily), Spa, Imola, Monaco and the Nürburgring) with an eighth, Silverstone, being affected by Popolous but in the same way Tilke affected every track he redesigned. I can't remember much about it, but a few days ago I was in the Monaco Grand Prix, except everyone was racing on foot, until I decided to use a bicycle or a moped (can't remember the exact details). The only other bit I can remember was despite my advantage, I was still down in 18th place.

Here's a redesign of Hockenheim I've made: m The first sector is almost the same, with the corners just being made less tighter. Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but the 3 new teams have gone 58 races without a point. By the British GP, should they remain "pointless", they would've done more races than Coloni, who did 65 races without a point. At least HRT going out of F1 has prevented them taking that unenvia...

Hi guys. My name's Andrew, I'm 16, I live in England and I'm a big fan of F1. I read 1 Rejects a lot, as I think the late 80's- early 90's were a great time for F1, with some of the best cars and drivers (even though I wasn't alive to see it). This sight is also useful for finding out about the less...
