Strange to think that when Button first raced in F1, Max Verstappen was probably still in nappies and Max's dad was still racing for Arrows

Re: The 2016 Belgian Grand Prix thread
So, Hamilton is facing another 15 grid penalty for changing again his engine. Mercedes found a breach in the rules to make sure his driver is going to have two fresh engines while taking all penalties in just one race, despite being impossible to lose 30 grid positions for the race. Nice job FIA. I...

How come some folk DNQ'd during 1993? There were only 26 cars and the 107% rule wasn't introduced yet, am I missing something? In a nutshell: The FIA wanted to spice things up/make qualifying actually mean qualifying by only allowing the fastest 25 cars take the start, a rule they ditched halfway t...

Thanks man, I appreciate that! Remember as well that Hamilton had his 2008 Belgian win handed over to Massa, so barring that ridiculous penalty he was on the top of the rostrum 6 times to Massa's 5. So before that was 1989? Wow... Happened a lot in the 80s oddly (to Mansell twice) guess it was some...

Completely disagree here. Raikkonen's stepped it up a lot this year, and he's been closer to Vettel in qualifying (he's even outqualified him a few times, so go figure!). He's been far less passive in the races as well; he just seems to have turned a corner. It's no secret that Raikkonen struggled ...

The tyre allocation means that every driver has to use softs during the race. Each team has, as you can see, at least two soft sets. So for example US/SS/US is not allowed this time. Which is a shame in a way, since I suspect that the race strategies will then boil down to US-S for the top 10 and S...
